We had a fantastic holiday to Shetland exploring as many places as possible as a recce for a geology themed trip I’ll be guiding on later this year for About Argyle. The weather was wonderful with cold winds, sunshine, hail squalls, some snow and once extremely icy morning. Our adventures took us to the south of the islands and the northernmost point of Scotland not too mentions some interesting geology at Eshaness and Keen of Hamar on Unst. It was a fun trip and despite driving all over the islands we have barely scratched the surface and cannot wait to go back for another visit to these wonderful islands.
