I was out with Nick in the northwest highlands for a couple of days coinciding with a wee blip in the good weather. That said it was still warm and the rivers and bogs extremely dry. We walked up An Teallach from Dundonnell and very nearly got some views from the summits though avoiding the wind made for some very warm breaks. Our second day saw us out in the Fannichs traversing Sgurr nan Each, Sgurr nan Clach Geala where we saw absolutely nobody all day. It was fairly windy and very cloudy with some drizzle at times making for a sticky damp walk. The surprise was finding a natural cave on the way down Meall a’Chrasgaidh where I have been countless times and never spotted it!
