I was guiding the second day on a trip to the Bridge of Orchy Munros for Steven Fallon. We enjoyed some snow and sunshine on the tops with some fantastic views. There is a write up on Steven’s Blog and more photos there>
I’ve been guiding a Lochaber 4000’s trip fro Steven Fallon in some early autumn snow with pleasant conditions on the summits. There’s a write up over on Steve’s blog here!
Had a mixed weather trip guiding for Steven Fallon over in Kintail this weekend. It was lovely walking on Carn Ghlusaid, Sgurr nan Conbhairean & Sail a’Chaorainn with light cool winds and clear summits. Not quite the same on Beinn Fhada the following day!
I met up with Jamie an old friend from University today for a wee walk in the Cairngorms. We headed out from the Linn of Dee to climb Creag Bhalg where there was a ski centre in the 1960’s that didn’t make it and the ski tows were taken to Glen Shee ski centre instead. […]
The weather had returned to normal service as I was out guiding for Steven Fallon Mountain Guides in Braemar this weekend. We encountered hail and fierce winds on Beinn a’Bhuirdh so opted to retrace our steps instead of going for Beinn A’an. It was much windier than forecast with gusts knocking us about on the […]

I’ve been guiding for About Argyll the last ten days in Orkney & Shetland. A fantastic trip with lots of Geology, Archaeology and wildlife not to forget lots of lovely walking!
I set with Victoria and Valerie to climb Blaven, which was to be Valerie’s last Munro! It was a good day and as we climbed up the cloud lifted so we enjoyed our celebrations in the warmth on the summit. We decided to head over the south top and walk down its rocky flanks before […]
I was out with Nick in the northwest highlands for a couple of days coinciding with a wee blip in the good weather. That said it was still warm and the rivers and bogs extremely dry. We walked up An Teallach from Dundonnell and very nearly got some views from the summits though avoiding the […]

We had a lovely day exploring the coastline after a lovely walk in the hills behind Mallaig seeing some wonderful ferns covered in the seeds from the Bog Cotton, which is enjoying a bumper year! […]
